We at ExComS working round the clock in research and development in our world-class facility at our head office in the UK.

Cloud Computing
Moving forward the things are same only the way we are doing stuff is changing, Cloud is one of the examples where we are moving from in house to Cloud. ExComs highly trained and motivated architects and professional migrated 100’s small to the medium organisation from inhouse to Cloud. We are also working on the SOA approach and delivered 10s of projects for hybrid Clouds.

IT SUPPORT
Every day we are managing 100’s on-site and off-site IT Support calls, ExComs have a specialist team all over the world starting from rising sun Japan to North America. Europe is our main stronghold where we have Level 1 to Level 3 engineers on hours call away from corporates to the small organisation.

Data Migration
Data capture and storage is history now, the world has moved to the next level where data is being migrated from one system to another system. ExComs developed state of the art approach to migrate legacy data to new system including cloud.

Innovation
The next 10 years shows the trend of IoT will be on the rise due to the wide range of WiFi and 4G coverage to the devices. ExComs’s current R&D projects are based on IoT Mechanical flooring system to generate power Water leakage detection system On both topics we have 8 researchers working full time on developing a modern and holistic approach for getting accurate results with prototypes to be prepared.
ExComS R&D
ExComS provides robust and novel technology solutions (software and hardware) to support private and public organisations to improve their products and services. Following are the details of the On-Going Research Projects.
Features of the Products:
- Affordable
- User-Friendly
- Easy to Install
- Minimum Service Requirement
- Remote Access
Water Leakage Detection System
Area of Research: Leakage Detection
Summary
The system is used to detect water leakage in a certain area and conserve water and energy resources. The moisture sensors are used to detect the water or moisture content on the surface. The system will be developed using the Raspberry Pi. Pi will be programmed using python language. Sensors will detect the moisture content in the surface. Obtained value from the sensors will be compared with a standard value by the microcontroller to check any variation (leak) occurs, the information will be sent to the owner via the internet.
Energy Generation Flooring System
Area of Research: Energy Generation
Summary
This project aims to design and construct a floor that is capable of generating energy, with the help of the vertical motion imparted from the footsteps of the people who walk over the floor. The project primarily aims in producing energy in an eco-friendly and sustainable manner, without the depletion of natural resources. The project adapts Faraday’s law of electromagnetic induction, where the magnet is allowed to move freely inside a hollow cylinder which is wounded with copper coil on the surface so that whenever the magnet moves, flux is induced and an equal amount of energy is generated. The device is designed to allow the magnet to move freely whenever a footstep is made on the floor. The generated energy is used to power the adjacent devices and the excess energy is stored in a battery.
Solar-Powered Drone
Area of Research: Solar Energy
Summary
The remote-controlled aircraft are defined as drones that use solar cells powered directly from the sun. Our main aim is to power the drone with the help of solar energy. The drone consists of four propellers along with the solar panels. This project also consists of a battery where we can store the energy from the sun. Future work includes boosting of telecommunication signals in rural areas with the help of Hotspots. The components required for this project are as follow Solar Panel, DC Motors, Propellers, Remote Control and Battery.
Raspberry Pi as a BLE Device Presence Detector
Area of Research: IOT
Summary
Business challenge/requirement: For this project, we need to control multiple home appliances based on the presence or absence of a family member. The family member will be carrying his mobile handset always with him. His mobile handset will act as Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device. In this project, the Raspberry Pi will be used as a BLE device detector.
Below are the challenges addressed in this project:
- Control GPIO pins of Raspberry Pi
- Scan all the active nearby BLE Devices using Raspberry Pi
CONSIDERATIONS
- The time interval for periodic scanning of all BLE devices
- The time interval to act on presence/absence to avoid frequent on/off due to temporary
- Erroneous presence/absence of the device
